Incident Workflow

Disciplinary Process

Incident Reported

Teacher or staff records the incident with date, time, location, witnesses, and a detailed description.

Investigation

Designated staff (e.g., Dean of Students) reviews the report and gathers additional statements.

3

Decision

Appropriate action is determined based on severity, prior history, and school policy.

4

Action Issued

Disciplinary action (warning, suspension, etc.) is formally recorded and the student is notified.

5

Parent Notification

Parents are notified via SMS and the Parent App with details of the incident and action taken.

6

Follow-Up

Outcome is monitored. Repeat offenses escalate automatically.

Behavioral Analytics

The system tracks patterns to identify students who may need additional support:

  • Repeat Offenders: Students with 3+ incidents in a term are flagged
  • Category Trends: Identify whether specific types of misconduct are increasing
  • Class Patterns: Detect if a particular class has disproportionate incident rates
  • Time Patterns: Identify when incidents most frequently occur (e.g., after break)

EWS Integration: Discipline data feeds directly into the Early Warning System. A student with rising disciplinary incidents will see their dropout risk score adjusted accordingly, enabling counselors to intervene proactively.
